Why drive to Northwest Arkansas? To visit family for the Fourth of July.
Why bring Washburne (dog) and Stoli (cat)? Because our family really wanted to see them more than they wanted to see us. :)

A 19 ft van and everyone wants to be in the cabin.
Wash impressed all the parents who couldn't get their kids to stand still for a photo with his "stay" skills.

On the way there we drove through Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, and Arkansas.

Our route back home allowed for more wandering and we drove through Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

That was the last sunset of our trip. It was a bittersweet moment. I didn’t want my vacation to end, but I was really happy this was the last night I’d have to sleep on the van bed.
